Welcome Sophie Danison!
We want to introduce one of the newest members of the Fisher Creative team:
Sophie Danison
Director of Photography | Cinematographer | Editor | Photographer
Sophie is a multifaceted documentary filmmaker, video editor, cinematographer, and photographer drawn to the intersection of social advocacy and the outdoors.
Having worn many different hats in a spectrum of production roles, she has a comprehensive understanding of what goes into a successful production along with a “Swiss Army knife” portfolio of skills. This includes being well-versed in numerous camera rigs and post-production platforms, in addition to being an FAA-certified drone pilot.
Sophie has filmed and edited content ranging from fly fishing to big mountain skiing and rafting to rock climbing. Some highlights include:
Moonlines: Backcountry skiing and high-lining short filmed in the southern alps of France.
NEXUS: Five groups of women exploring connections, the transformative power of mountains, and lessons learned from their time on skis.
Tribal Waters: Traces the Wind River as it winds through a history of stolen ancestral lands, insatiable agricultural demands, and the American justice system.
Texas Lady Crushers: Follows Texas Lady Crushers as they work to change the HERstory of climbing by bringing inclusivity to the outdoors.
Pretty Strong: Follows 10 of the world’s strongest female climbers as they explore new climbing areas, send hard projects, and push the boundaries of the sport and themselves.
Sophie is inspired by mountains, rivers, wildflowers, rocks, and wild humans wandering out there, and when not behind a camera or editing station, she is an avid skier, whitewater rafter, cyclist, road-trip enthusiast, and more - who always loves an opportunity to incorporate a good costume.

While Sophie has been a frequent Fisher Creative collaborator, this month she joined us in a full-time role. And we’re stoked and humbled to have such an incredibly talented, authentic, generous, positive, and all around amazing, badass human as part of our core team!
